towards a breathless sunset
laid me by the shore

beneath a crimson sunlight

the might of evermore

and soaring are the birds above my head….

clouds of strange formations
lazy, drifting by
the wind is blowing softly
circling by my side
beneath the waves the promises I kept….

a child of god, she held my hand awhile
embraced her, feeling fine
blameless as her soul

another world then wanted me
a life played on the road ….

when we climb the hill
at the chosen time
worn by a lifetime
at last the work is done
and we rise above
see our shadows fly

echoes of a distant time and space
stares across the sand
no one tries to speak
fall upon my dreaming mind within
inviting me to glance
Katrina By The Sea…..

beyond a blue horizon
the first glistening of a star
out from a timber causeway
a piper stands afar
sleepwalking from the embers of the past….
